Salt Spring Island Fire/Rescue Training

With an ever increasing number of emergency calls, Salt Spring Island Fire/Rescue is spending more and more time on training its members to respond to calls quickly and safely.  Props are often used to help facilitate "real-life" situations in training, and this is illustrated in some of the Training pictures below.

Recent Technical Rope Rescue training course.

Salt Spring Island Fire/Rescue also offers Rapid Intervention Team (RIT) training to its members; training we've developed teaches RIT team members how to administer aid to fellow firefighters.  RIT training also teaches firefighters to cope with difficult situations and get help themselves out of danger.

These RIT Wall Breach Training pictures show training for both of these scenarios.
