How to make a "Hose Dummy"

This Hose dummy was constructed from out of service 2 1/2" fire hose.  In only a few hours and with minimal material we had a very tough and rugged rescue dummy.

Materials needed:

  • 2 - 50' lengths of 2 1/2" fire hose (couplings cut off)
  • Duct Tape
  • Steel thread rods with nuts
  • 2X6 Lumber (or rubber hockey pucks)

For next hose dummy we construct we will make the torso a bit shorter, and instead of using 2x6 for the joints will try using rubber hockey pucks instead.
