Salt Spring Island Fire/Rescue Innovations

Over the years with new equipment coming into the department and new trucks that were not properly equipped for the old equipment innovations were made and developed by members of the Salt Spring fire department.

Another one of the devices we use is a hose dummy which is used to simulate a victim.  See how we put the hose dummy together.

Hall Inventories

Salt Spring Island Fire/Rescue has a number of vehicles located at one of the three fire halls located on Salt Spring Island.

Hall 1 is located in Ganges at 105 Lower Ganges Road.

Hall 1 Equipment Inventory

Hall 2 is located in the Fulford Valley at 2470 Fulford Ganges Road.

Hall 2 Equipment Inventory

Hall 3 is located in Central at 110 Vesuvius Bay Road (corner of North End Road and Vesuvius Bay Road).
